Mr. Mariani, a seasoned banker with over 35 years of experience in corporate, Retail, and Small Business Banking across Quebec and Northwestern Ontario, brings invaluable expertise to the AeTrade Group as it continues its mission of driving economic transformation in Africa.

Mr. Mariani, a seasoned banker with over 35 years of experience in corporate, Retail, and Small Business Banking across Quebec and Northwestern Ontario, brings invaluable expertise to the AeTrade Group as it continues its mission of driving economic transformation in Africa.

 Sal Mariani’s Distinguished Career

Holding dual European and Canadian citizenship, Mr. Mariani began his career at Banca Commerciale Italiana, where he facilitated collaboration between Italian corporate entities and their subsidiaries in Montreal. His illustrious career at Scotiabank saw him spearheading the growth and development of retail and small business banking across multiple markets.

Currently serving as Vice-President of the Thoracic Surgery Research Foundation of Montreal, Mr. Mariani has also demonstrated exceptional leadership in philanthropy, diversity & Inclusion, Donor Relations, Finance & Strategic Planning.


In addition, Mr. Mariani, Past President of the National Federation of Canadian Italian Business and Professional Association (NFCIBPA) and current chairman of Internment Committee was instrumental in finalizing the Permanent Historical Exhibition with the Canadian War Museum located Ottawa.
